Libby A. Johnson, D.D.S.
I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. As a child, my family made many trips to Nebraska to cheer on the Huskers and visit my relatives. I knew early on that I wanted to attend UNL and be a Husker myself! During my 4 years of college at UNL, I met my husband Andrew. I attended dental school at UNMC from 2005 to 2009. During my dental school years I realized my passion was for pediatric dentistry. I finished my pediatric residency program at UNMC in Omaha, and started practicing at Lincoln Pediatric Dentistry in July 2011. Andrew and I enjoy watching Husker football, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. We welcomed our daughter, Georgia, in August 2012.

Thank you for taking the time to learn
about our practice. We have built our
practice around one main principle –
compassion. We show compassion to our
patients, their families and to each
other. We educate children and parents
to prevent decay. If children have
cavities, then our goal is to create the
best experience possible so that we can
eliminate any future anxieties kids
might have about going to the dentist.
My staff is like
family to me. They care as much about
kids and healthy smiles as anyone. I
know you will be happy with the care we
provide because we take care of kids as
if they are our own.
Let me tell you a
little about myself so that you can
understand why I love being a pediatric
dentist. I grew up in Lincoln and went
to the University of Georgia because I
wanted to be a professional golfer. I
realized that golf was not a good career
option, so I graduated from the
University of Nebraska and attended the
University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Following my
sophomore year of dental school, I went
on a mission trip to Honduras. That
experience changed my life and career.
In Honduras, we took care of people who
had never in their lives seen a dentist.
It made me realize that I wanted to be a
pediatric dentist, because I could take
care of children in spite of their
sometimes difficult circumstances.
Following dental school, I attended a
year pediatric dental residency program
at Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. I
practiced in Arizona at a pediatric
dental office and then for the Indian Health
Service in South Dakota and North Dakota
before returning to Lincoln with my
husband to open Lincoln Pediatric
